If you spend a lot of time using Microsoft Word, this little trick is just for you.
If you are always using the same tools and forever clicking through the menus to use the tools you need. Stop what you are doing and watch the video or read the steps below to find out how you could make your life within Microsoft Word a whole lot easier.
Instead of spending a large amount of time clicking through the same menus time after time you can create a new button that is always in the ‘Quick Access Toolbar’. This is exactly what it says, a quick-to-access toolbar that you can fill with your own personalised buttons. To do so follow the steps below (or watch the video above).
-
Go to the drop-down menu situated at the top of the window.
-
The function you are after may be within the list of automatically populated options. If not then head down to ‘More Commands’.
-
In the drop-down, find and click on the tab your button is found on.
And just like that in those 3 quick and easy-to-follow steps, you will now find your personalised button within the ‘Quick Access Toolbar’. With this one why not add other buttons for the other tools that you use frequently. You can now add up to a total of 20 buttons in the ‘Quick Access Toolbar’ making your work more and more efficient and less repetitive with each one that you add.
