Little Big Tech becomes first UK MSP independently verified on both security and service quality

Little Big Tech, a UK managed services provider, has become the first MSP in the country to be independently verified across both its security controls and its service operations, earning the new Assurix trustmark.

The company chose to put itself through a process designed to give its clients something the MSP industry has never had: continuous, externally verified proof that what an MSP says it does is what it actually does, day to day.

The Assurix assessment requires an MSP to pass all 64 controls covering both security maturity and operational maturity, with the status suspended publicly if standards slip. Founder Mit Patel, a former MSP managing director, designed the scheme to close the gap between what MSPs claim and what they can prove.

"Our clients trust us with their entire security operation. They deserve more than our word that it's working. They deserve independent proof. We chose to be first because this is the bar every MSP should be held to. Our clients now have something no other UK SME has: a continuous, externally verified signal that their MSP's controls are working."

— Nick Haley, founder and managing director, Little Big Tech

"I spent 20 years running an MSP. I know the difference between doing the work and being able to prove you've done it, every day, to a standard someone outside your business can verify. Little Big Tech is the first UK MSP to close that gap. Their clients are the first SMEs in the country who don't have to take their MSP's word for it."

— Mit Patel, founder and CEO, Assurix

Assurix is part of a wider shift in the UK SME cybersecurity market, where buyers are increasingly asking their MSPs for evidence of operating effectiveness rather than relying on point-in-time certifications such as Cyber Essentials Plus or ISO 27001 alone. Assurix's security controls are mapped to the NCSC Cyber Assessment Framework (CAF) version 4, the UK's authoritative cybersecurity framework, and aligned with the direction of the forthcoming Cyber Security and Resilience Bill. The trustmark is awarded only to MSPs that can prove their controls are working continuously — a shift increasingly demanded by SMEs, insurers, and regulators.

Little Big Tech is the founding member of the Assurix Trusted MSP register, the public directory SMEs will use to verify their provider's status in real time. A further 84 UK MSPs are now committed to the standard, 54 in active assessment and 30 on the paid waitlist, with the next trustmark awards expected over the coming months.
